Guess the capability was there al the time, but I could never get it to work.
The key word seems to be ENTER after new destination is said.
I first said new destination.
Next say enter information or enter address.
Then the State or whatever you want, city or street or number.
Then say yes to guidance.
This is sure a lot safer to do while driving than punching it in.
Thanks again board members for some good usefull info.

My 5er is a MY 2007 with a build date of 2/07. I also can "say" the state, city and street, rather than spelling them. The Navman comes back with a match, both on the screen as well as spoken. Does this mean I have Progman 25?

I'm glad to see that they finally worked the details out and added this feature! When they added the phonebook voice recognition mode, I suspected that navigation destination entry would follow...

Depending on the year of your car determines if you have to spell the city and street or just say it. My car is a 10/05 build and I have to spell it, my buddys is a 10/06 build and you can just say it.

Also voice recognition is country dependent eg I can speak UK locations but only spell German and French. This must be down to the home language settings.
