Hey,
I took a part my BMW and have few questions.
How do I add transmition oil in 2008 MB 528XI? I have drained the oil from the transmition and the car will not start. would that cause the issue?
How do I remove the air bag from the steering wheel?
Also, do I need to bleed the powersteering system to get rid of any air that got into the system.
thanks

You are not serious I hope.

Why would you drain the transmission fluid? I wouldn't be surprised if BMW has some sensor that checks transmission oil level or pressure and prevents the car from starting. That's a good thing and not a bad thing.

Why do you need to take the airbag out? Messing with parts that have the airbag without knowing what you are doing is dangerous. You could have one blow up in your face if you somehow trigger the airbag.

Sounds to me that some time invested with an experienced BMW (independent) mechanic would be well worthwhile. It doesn't take much to screw up expensive components on these cars. It ain't your father's Oldsmobile!
