My Ride: 2008 520d LCI.
HUD, active lights + high beam assistant, panoramic sunroof, manual gbox, grey leather and navi professional.
It's a nice car with an impressive engine.
Hello.
I'm wondering if this is normal....
My engine seems to "work" on 240 degrees F ( 115 C ). I think this is a bit high..?
It's about 70F ( 20C ) outside now.
I have an e61 lci 520d.
how about you guys?

Mines always a tick under 210 and during local driving a tick over 210... I'm guessing like 215 ish.

+1 Mine runs between 205 and 220. Bit concern when first got the car but it is normal for E60. I had my scan tool plugged in for a week and verified that it is normal driving temp. Thermostat opens at around 215.

Thx for your reply, guys.
240 is a bit much...
There seems to be a difference between 6 and 4 sylinder engines though.
I'm gonna take mine in for service so they can check it for faults.
