Hi guys,

this is actually a 2 part question.

I have an 06 530i automatic.

#1) When I floor it on the highway, it takes about 1-2 secs before it starts speeding up. Is that normal?

#2) Today while stepping on the Gas semi hard, the gears kinda got stuck? It seemed as if the gears stayed in place and even when i stepped harder or let go of the gas, it stayed the same speed/gear. Anybody else have that?

thanks!

What transmission do you have? Sounds like SMG when you're in Manual mode... haha

+1 - the adaptive transmission brain needs to go back to school and learn new shifting patterns. That is, IF you aren't having slipping or harsh shift experiences. If that's the case you may need to have BMW take a closer look at the transmission or it's control units. There are reports of failures cropping up.
