My Ride: 08 550i 6 speed manual
Default Engine malfunction! Reduced power P0120,P0221,

Went to start out after car warmed up, throttle began to go up and down. Car had very little power (like limp mode)
Plugged in my code reader & received these codes
1) P0120 throttle/pedal position sensor switch A circuit malfunction
2) P0221 throttle/pedal position sensor/switch B circuit range/performance problem

After letting car cool for a couple hours the power has come back, but the codes are still there!
This is my wife's car and i don't want it to leave her stranded.

I have been told a few different problems that it could be but I dont want to just throw multiple new parts at it when it could just be pedal sensor or throttle body or engine harness.

Any body run in to this?

2008 E60 550i 6 speed manual
Production date 06/07

Thank you,
Chris

It ended up being the harness that goes to the throttle body.
BMW has a repair kit for around 33.80
Part # 12 51 7 602 973. Cable-N
Hope this helps
