Thumbs down

Ok so I got my Sprint Booster today and with all the help of the forum went to install it which was simple as stated.
When I started the car to test the goods I got the !ENGINE MALFUNCTION-REDUCED POWER error message.

I had heard of faulty units so I took the unit off and reconnected, same message. So I decided to take it off and email Andy Wong to get a replacement, when I went back to stock I get the SAME ERROR MESSAGE???? It wont go away!

Is there a quick fix for this or am I going to have to take this to the dealer like an idiot?
Thanks in advance for the help.

From what I've read, you'll need to drive the car for ~ 200 or so miles before it will go away.

Yep from what other people have said you may have to go to the dealer to get it cleared.

There was batch that some people had issues with. Alot can be traced back to not having the key in the ignition, or with comfort acess , not far enough away from the car. Also got to match the pins up correctly , and get a firm conection.

Take out the SB and drive it for about 50 miles with SB in. The car will reset and the error message will disappear. Install the SB again and make sure the numbers match and the SB is secure fit with the pedal.

You probably got the one that I sent back to Andy that did the same thing.

He sent me a new one, and the problem went away.

I read somewhere that sometimes, this is caused by accidentally bending one of the connecting pins during the removal and fit back process.

Maybe just a check on the connector socket to make sure ?
