Ok I just got this car like 9 hours ago and my friend noticed that my hood is slightly not closed on the left side! Now I know the solution is to slam the hood a little bit, but I'm just curious if it's normal for the hood to not completely shut close unless you put proper slamming or pressure on it? The same thing happens on my friend's C300 and he said he almost tried to fix the adjustment of the hinges or something but he didn't have time to.

I was wondering if it's only mine that does this or if there's a fix here already? Sorry if this is a repost, my computer is soo slow that I didn't feel like using the search feature before posting this question. So pardon the re-post. Thanks.

I generally drop mine with no downward force past the suspension spring and it locks into place every time. Could be an alignment issue.

So it's "normal" on this car then? Like my friend's C300?

No. It's probably misaligned. Mine locks into place every time w/o additional downforce.

Mine is the same way. I have to push slightly sometime (not always) on one end to close it completely if I let the hood down gently. I know its a alignment but this does not bother me enough to get this fixed, even though it's still under warranty. May be I should...

If it's slightly higher on one side open the hood and you'll see a black rubber stopper that should be on both ends. Just turn it to the right so the hood can close down more on that side or turn it to the left to bring it up so your hood will close properly.

+1, same thing happened to mine. The little rubber/spacer thing became dislodged and made it appear that my hood was disaligned. I freaked out on my friend that I had just let borrow my car. Pop the hood again and look at the rubber pads. They latch on to the hood piece just about above each front wheel well, GL!

I had a problem like this on a 528i loaner a couple months ago. It turned out that the latch mechanism was not springing shut fully on one side. The hood wasn't free, but it wasn't locked down either, so it was vibrating alarmingly at highway speeds. A little fiddling and WD40 and it closed properly....no biggy.

I generally have to drop mine from about 6-8 inches with a little force to close it. Otherwise, my right side may not fully latch.

Same thing with mine.
When I first noticed that it wasn't closed properly, I checked my bumper to see if anyone had bumped into my car but nothing.
It just doesn't close properly if I don't drop it from about 30 cm, or if I don't push it.
