Thumbs up

Well, I'm being a little misleading here. I'm actually curious on why the 535xi I have does not have engine exploding noise (sorry, lack of better descriptive phrase for it) that I'm used to from my previous cars. I was once told that this kind of noise is normal by an Infiniti dealer. But I guess it's not for my 535xi no matter how hard I just drove it. So what really caused those noise back then in my G35? And what did BMW do it get rid of it?

Exploding noise? I've never heard of it before. Perhaps a sound/video clip will help.

Your infiniti dealer was feeding you BS. you should never hear anything remotely close to "exploding" noises coming from the engine.

Are you talking about the coarse growl in the exhaust in the G35?
The BMW inline 6 is smoother than the Infiniti V6 and would have a smoother sound to it. You probably could find an aftermarket exhaust to deepen the sound.

Was it a G35 turbo?

I'm thinking blow off from the turbo (don't know the real term, but the sound from 2 Fast 2 Furious). Or one of them big ole fart can exhaust systems gone wrong.

sorry for the confusion guys. like i said i'm not sure how to describe it. it's probably not from the engine itself. i believe the infiniti dealer's explanation was it's the noise cause by metal parts expanding/contracting after hard driving. hope that helps in understanding what i'm talking about.
