Engine drain plug/bleeder screw
Hello everyone...Two quick questions:
1) Is there a bleeder screw for an 2007 530i? If so, can anyone post a pic of the location or just describe where it is? I don't see it near the coolant expansion tank. 2) Is there a coolant drain plug on the engine block of a 2007 530i? Or I can only drain coolant from the radiator? I've googled these questions to no avail. So I've come to the forums where I always get answers. Thanks for any responses. Gotta Love The Bimmer ! |
I don't think the 2007 530i has a radiator bleeder screw. If one is there it should be red and on the passenger side. Wife's 2009 X5 does not have a bleeder screw and you have to just take off the lower radiator hose to get it to drain. My 2006 530xi has a bleeder screw.
There is no coolant drain plug on the N52 engine for your car. Best you can do is remove the lower radiator hose and let it drain out. When changing the water pump, you'll need about a gallon of coolant and a gallon of distilled water to replace it all. So, I'm guessing you'll need just slightly less. |
Good info! Thanks alot!
