Sorry if I'm missing something obvious but how do I enable random track playback of MP3 files on a CD? I've just had the SW upgraded and so can play MP3s for the first time. I can see the directory and file names just fine as well as the track lengths when I scroll through them but I can't seem to find a way to enable random mode. Nowhere under MP3 playback can I get to a "Set" menu. Any help would be appreciated.

Great, I just plugged in my IPod last night and was wondering the same thing!! Another related question...when you have your IPod plugged in, (LCI with the IPod interface package / the plugs are in the center console), I'm assuming the IPod is powered by the car's battery when it's plugged in? Also, when the IPod is plugged into the car...it appears you do not have access to any of the IPod's features? Mine just has a screen that says "OK to disconnect" on it?

What I still miss in my E60 is that when you listen to music with random enabled, that it disables random as soon as you want to skip a song. It will simply go to the next song in the directory where you wanted to skip a song.
I would like to have random on, and go to a random next song as soon as I press the next button. Anyone knows how this can be done? (I have an LCI car with the most recent firmware (I think))

One thing I have found on mine is...when i turn the car off, random feature goes away and you have to reset it.
