I dont get why your trunk closed?? I put a box in my trunk and placed my keys accidently in the trunk and when I tried to close it, it wouldnt close, the trunk kept popping open over and over and finally after the fourth time trying to close it I realized that my keys were in the the trunk and the car would close the trunk until I took them out.

If the spare key was at home, someone there could press the button near the phone etc. otherwise....DUH!!
I don't know which of us is correct in our assumption. I assume that the spare is at home and his car is at home, since he says he can't find his spare key. You assume he is somewhere other than home and his spare is at home.

I wasn't so waiting for that.

Well, yeah, I do, because if he was home he would have grabbed the spare key and NEVER would have posted in the first place! But I must confess I see your point!

Well, the important part is the Forum came together, stayed on task, and helped solve this dilemma for a fellow member. Oh wait....

Another reason to get Comfort Access.

Just demonstrated (for the nth time) how I can put my key in the trunk, close it, and the trunk will pop open.

CA stops you from locking your keys in with 99.9% certainty.

I don't believe that car remote ( the latest or at least in our BMW) works through audio waves ( in this case we can use a phone to unlock). New cars (like our BMW) have encoded radio waves which can not be transmitted over phone and heard (re transmitted) to the car.. JMO
