After you break your window, just press the trunk release button. Or you can try a hanger and press the unlock button. That's what I had to do once.
I've been in this exact same situation and called out BMW Assistance (whilst I was in Paris and the car is from the UK). They arrived within an hour and by taking off the back number plate, drilling a hole and using a special wire to unlock we got into the boot.
Or you can get a new key sent from BMW to the dealer.

If you break the window the trunk release button will not work, same with the hanger and unlock button. The car is dead-locked and designed to make it as difficult as possible to steal.

I heard that you can use the spare key over a cell phone, press the unlock button on the spare key with your cell phone on speaker phone and the tone is supposed to open the doors!
I don't know how viable this is for you, but it might work!
Good Luck!

Call a local locksmith who can work on cars as well. We locked the keys in our '02 X5 in San Francisco, Keys were in Fresno. We looked in a phonebook and called a locksmith who came, verified the car was ours (registration, VIN, insurance, perhaps something else) and they unlocked it. But the car was in the first or second turning (not on) and keys were in the ignition.

No spare key? You dealer, with proof of ownership, should be able to obtain a replacement key. It may take a little longer but replacing a broken window can be pretty expensive!
In the United States, BMW Assist Membership can open a (newer) locked BMW:
Access in a pinch.
Your keys may be locked in your vehicle, but you're not out of luck. With Door Unlock*, all it may take is a phone call to the BMW Assist Response Center at (888) 333-6118 to get you back behind the wheel. Once a response specialist has confirmed your name and password, a signal is sent to your vehicle to unlock it remotely. If any additional services are required, a response specialist will be happy to assist you.
*Available on BMW Assist-equipped and activated 2008 and later X3 and Z4 and all other 2007 and later models produced 9/06 and later.http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Content/Own...zgryGAh2k5KxQ==

He said he didn't have the spare key. If he had it, I suspect he'd just use it to open the car!
