Hey guys, so I have a 2005 545i that I bought back in the beginning of July. The first month I had the car all the steering wheel function buttons worked fine. Then slowly they stopped working. At first the buttons would work when the car was first started for a while, I could switch radio staions, mute, toggle phone etc. Now they don't work at all. I can still use cruise control and adjust the steering wheel angle still though.

The second issue that just started happening more recently, when I am driving every now and then, usually under 40mph, the audio will cut out for 1 second real quick and the lights on the driver side door and headlight switch area will all flash off then back on and audio will resume.

I was reading what I could find about similar issues and I was thinking that this may be because of the steering wheel slip ring or a faulty ignition switch? Thoughts? No dashboard warning lights or error faults have occurred at all since this has been happening, other than my faulty passenger airbag light due to seat mat sensor.
