Hey, I'll make this thread nice and brief

Since you save 7% off when you do ED, can you ask for additional money off as well?

Sorry I must have been vague, I was in a hurry typing this up.

The European Delivery program cuts off BMWNA and your dealer from any profit whatsoever - or so I heard. If your dealer is not making money, then how can you negotiate the European Delivery price? Would you have to contact Munich? Anyways, I really shouldn't be asking because you're saving a TREMENDOUS amount of money with ED.

Of course you should be asking -- because otherwise, you'd have paid the dealer nearly (or approximately) $5k in profit without even trying to get at it. There is a margin for the dealership, though I've been told (unconfirmed) that BMWNA is cut out of the picture in an ED purchase.

The 7% off reflects the ED MSRP. Even lower than that figure is the ED invoice, which the dealer supposedly pays. I paid ~$1600 or so above that ED invoice, which translated to something like $3k-$3.5k off ED MSRP. These figures should be available somewhere on this site.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

When I shopped for my ED 5er, two dealers told me that BMWNA strongly urges dealers not to discount off of the ED list price, and neither of them would. A third dealer gave me $2K off ED list. Guess who got the business?
