That is a good call. I spent 2 nights in Poland and in one night I saw 2 car jackings. Pretty funny, one guy had a wire bundle in his hand trying to be still thinking that we would not see him jacking the car as we walked by. Same thing happens in Czech. The place we stayed at had fenced in parking all around. We stayed in a small village away from Prague. They do not care if your car is new or not. They will take it.
If you do change your mind, be sure to stay at a place with secured parking only and take the subway or walk.

I remember that my parents took their MB to Poland once. They drove straight to the Hotel and they had valet parking.
The Valet carried an automatic gun and NOBODY, except him, was allowed in the parking lot! My parents forgot something in the trunk, so the poor guy had to get the car, let my parents take their stuff out of the trunk, while he was observing the area, and finally he parked the car again.
Well, it worked. They returned with their car. But that shows that it is very dangerous over there...

My Ride: 05 545i, Jet Black, Black Leather, Black Anthracite. Sport Pkg, HUD, NAV, 20-way Comfort Seats, Prem Snd Pkg Logic7, Htd Rear Seats, Rear side impact, Cold Weather Pkg, Fold Down Rear Seat/Ski bag, Soon 2B chromed rims. Picked up in Munich, Drove it to Prague, Vienna, Salburg & Bremerhaven. Put on 1300 miles. Enjoyed driving it 140mph on Autobahn (4,400 rpm).
I went to Prague with my 05 545i in October and I was apprehensive about it, but I think the key is to stay at a hotel like the Hilton or the Intercontenental and you will not have any problem. They have secure underground parking and just about every car in there was a "big buck" car. I stayed at the Intercontinental and paid 189E. Prague was well worth the drive for me as I found it to be the 2nd prettiest large city I have ever been to next to Stockholm.
