OK, thanks. I thought for some reason that you already had it. Please let me know how you were able to order that particular color combo. Did the dealer make excuses that you could not do it, or did they accept the order without any questions.

Sigh... seems like I wont be getting the car today either...

Nope no excuses... they just accepted the order and that was that. Said the dealer can do special orders like that even if the online configurator doesnt take it.

Heres the time line of the car. Yup I placed the order ONE day before the cut off date for the next production. So ordered that night and the car started production the next day.

Car Ordered (10/28/04)
Status 150 Production Started (10/29/04)
Status 151 Body Shop Started (11/05/04)
Status 152 Paint Shop Started (11/09/04)
Status 153 Assembly Started (11/10/04)
Status 155 Production Completed (11/11/04)
Status 160 Released to Distribution (11/12/04)
Status 180 Waiting for Export Dispatch (11/15/04)
Status 190 Dispatched / In Transit (11/24/04)
Arrived at Port Hueneme (12/15/04)
Car Arrived at dealer 16:00 (12/27/04)
Picked up car (12/28/04)
