My Ride: 2006 Titanium Silver 550i, with all the bells and whistles!!
My car is starting to eat oil. No evidence of leaks under the car or under the hood, but I have had to add two litres in the last couple of mounths. where is the oil going? I have an appointment next week to have it looked at, but am wondering if this has happened to anyone and/or if this is a sign to look for a trade!?

Some questions first:
- How many total miles on your car?
- How many miles and what kind of driving have you been doing when the consumption was noted?
- What was oil life like before noticing this issue (e.g., have you had to add any oil between changes?
- What weight and type oil have you been using, and
- how frequently has it been changed?

2. have not really changed how many miles I drive per month, nor have I changed how many times I let her rip!
3. previously I would have to add a litre, maybe two between oil changes.
4. I think I have been using 5w30 (whatever dealer hands over in exchange for my $10)or is it 10w30?
5. oil change every 25000km (approx.) 15k miles or less. I check using dipstick regularly and don't let it get low (try and keep it between max and min on dipstick)
low oil light has come on twice in the last two months, it has never done that before.
ps. thanks for replies.
so a litre every 6 weeks with your M5 eh Brabus? I think I am still less than that... I think, maybe I am driving harder?
