my car is old now its a 54 plate ((525d) m57n)and its done over 160,000 miles.
i have a few sensors on there way out cos when i check the diagnostics it shows i have an issue with the crankshaft sensor which clears for a few days.
anyway when i drive steady on motorway at 50mph in 5th (1500) rpms it stutters very slightly and does all way to 2000 rpm's only if your very light on the throttle or holding speed. if you put your foot down a little more it goes away.
i know the particular filter will need replacing as it has been recharged about 30,000 miles ago.
this very slight misfire has been around now for about a year but its sooo slight i havent done anything.
It does it in all gears if steady at 1500 rpm ish.
any idea's?
i will replace the crankshaft sensor if it helps but would like to see if i can get to the bottom of the issue without spending a fortune.
cheers
