E60 Waiting List Price

I got on the list before I knew exactly what it was even going to look like, anticipating that I'd be pleased (I'm still reserving judgment until I see the car in person and drive it, but I like what I've seen and read so far). While I haven't specifically discussed it with my dealer, I will not be paying anything above MSRP.

My Ride: 2004 545i 6speed
do we know what msrp is ??? Moreover, what model did you reserve (I'm likely to go for the 545i and haven't a clue what the US release date let alone $$$ will be).

My dealer is only maintaining a list for "E60 5 Series" and "E60 M5", and says they'll allow people on the "E60 5 Series" list to pick the model they want in the order they're on this list. I still haven't really decided between 530 and 545, though I really do want the 545...especially if they offer a little more agressive "look" on the 545.

Put a deposit down before pictures of car where out. atm im concerned about buying the 530 with 225hp. My fear is buying and finding out soon after purchase 2005 will have 275hp. Almost makes me want to buy a used car until the new engines come out for the 5. Thoughts?

There's no way to really be sure other than getting a 545i, but we'll have to wait until Jan or Feb 2004 for the US model!

I have considered the 545 as well as a solution but I would have to take the 545 tag off the back. I would be embarrassed to drive a car that cost that much. My clients would think I was making too much) Hard for me to justify 60k+ out of my pocket to myself or others.

I have a 530i A on order for 1st March delivery. There's no way I'd pay over MRSP. However I was disgusted to see that most of the new stuff on E60 came as a rather pricey option together with a 5% hike in price.
