Hi All,

I just received a call from my dealer saying that my e60 transmitted data to them that my 545 needs a brakefluid flush. Does anyone know if this transmission occurs through BMW Assist or otherwise? Is there an onboard cell phone transmitter that relays data?

Thanks in advance.

AFAIK the BMW Telecall is part of BMW Assist.

The brake fluid service interval is listed in IDrive. Did your IDrive service menu also show that service was due? The BMW recommendation for a brake fluid flush is every two years.
