Just curious if you guys could point out the styling differences between the first e60 (2004) and the last one (2010).

The only thing that really jumps out tome is the LCI tail lights, head light, and the reflectors near the front wheels.

I know there were minor changes to the front lines and possibly the hood but I can't tell them apart?

From what I understand, cosmetically the car had one change in 2008 with the LCI and that's it?

Not correct if you mean anything beyond the actual controller (and it's iDrive, not I-Drive). There were several changes in the E60's iDrive.

For CCC-equipped cars, the original E60 came with the 2nd Generation iDrive. Starting with MY2008, it came with Gen 3 iDrive. Starting with MY2010 (which arrived early), it abandoned the CCC and came with the CIC-based 4th gen. iDrive.

I was actually referring to cosmetic exterior changes...I know modifications were made to the iDrive system but wanted to get a better idea of body modifications which to my eyes don't seem that noticeable.

The changes seem almost non-existent when you have the M-Sport kit since the front and rear bumpers and side sills are all modified with the kit and those are the major areas where changes were made.

 

besides the led headlights, led rear tail light the front lip, and an updated interior there are no other differences.

 

Other changes: 530 becomes 535 and 545 becomes 550. Both have bigger engines with more hp.
