Has anyone ever seen a wiring diagram for the e60 stereos, or even a PDF that describes what kind of speakers each of the stereos has? I'm in the middle of a subwoofer install and I really hate doing this by trail and error on a $50k car :'(

WHen I did the same install on my e36 there was tons of info available but I have yet to find anything on the e60.

I'd like to see what all the amp wires correspond to, i.e which speakers, which one is the remote turn on...etc.

WoW subinstall that be awsome. Do you have Logic 7??
here i know this link is for the 3 series but i kind of did some testing when working on my car. Some of the wires and collors match.

Bimmer Wiring
Why don't you wire it to your rear speakers? thats what i done on my 01 i had a sub and amp wired to my rear speakers.

Good luck on the wiring

I have built many sound competition BMW's and the wiring is retarded on most cars,

If you dont have logic 7 just use all new speaker wires and set up a relay to trigger your amp turn on.

also if you are using the OEM headunit and just want to add more bass call these guys

Navoneengineering.com

or look them up

they have the best interfaces, sold as private label, I know the owner well he is a car audio expert on wiring and noise, he contributes to all the magazines.

Also get a good multimeter and just start testing things and mark everything.

I wish I can listen to a Logic 7 to see how it stacks up, Im a music afficionado.

also never use a factory wire to tap into for a remote turn on especially these new Bimmers, find a source and do a relay schematic, it is much safer you dont know if there will be voltage drops in a factory wire.

Just Stay AWAY FROM OEM WIRES

and if your just added a sub you can just tap off the rear speakers with one of those Navone convertors and your dont, just make sure you hook it up right.

You wil not get engine noise.

WITH I Drive in this car Im scared to install my V1 in the mirror, and my K40 diffusers and laser jammer system. Yikes but Im gonna need it
