e60 steering column size
Hi
Just wanna ask if the steering column and slip ring for all E60 are identical or at least exchangeable?
I have 2006 525i, diamond airbag steering wheel with manual adjustment. I recently retrofitted the comfort seat and prefer to have the electric adjustment for the steering wheel to.
From what I see on the part diagram, the motor drive can not be retrofitted to the existing steering column so likely I have to buy the whole column (used). A friend of mine driving a pre LCI bought the steering wheel + slip ring off an LCI M5 which does not fit to his existing structure so I just wanna make sure that I order the right part for my application. Are those non-M LCI E60 column the same as pre? It makes more sense if they're the same but please advise and I'll stand guided.
