Default E60 Park Distance Controller (PDC)

I replaced my dead PDC with one from the breakers. It now appears on the screen when reverse is seleced, but reports no sensor input, PDC fault shows on the dash. A scan shows 0 volts to the sensors, and 7.4v when the the Sensor plugs are pulled from the PDC and it is reset by powering off. Should this voltage be nearer the PDC supply voltage reported in the PDC module data of 11,5 volts? an error scan shows all 8 sensor s/c, which is unlikely, more likely the PDC cant supply enough juice and it treats the sensor loads as shorts. All sensor power wires measure highish resistance when I put a multimeter on them, no shorts. My original PDC was destroyed by water getting in, and not getting around to sorting it until it corroded and was beyond saving.

Solved it by going back to the breakers and swapping it for one I removed myself from a scrapped E60. Because they're in the wheel well it's hard to find one that's not lying in water. This one worked, though it showed a fault initially on the negative can bus wire, but cleaning contacts and clearing it seemed to work. Scan is showing 12.5v on the sensor lines. Afaik this is not battery voltage, but is conjured up on the board by switch mode, but, I could be wrong about this. Board voltage itself is only 11.6v on the scan. On to the next problem,,

So brilliant. Would not thought the sensors make audible noise… thank you. I couldn’t figure how to diagnose which sensor wasn’t working without a scan tool.
