Default E60 Optic cable port in glovebox?

Hi,

I have some troubles with my optic fibre system which I have made posts about before.
There is just question I am wondering about which I havenīt find the information about myself.

1: What is the optic fibre most port in the glovebox exactly for?
2: If you unplug the port should you see a blinking light in there if the ignition is on?
3: If there should be seen a red light blinking here and it doesnīt what can be the cause?

Would mean so much if anyone could help me to answer this.
I have now bought a loop and will today start search through the system if I can find some module that is broken but the question about the most port still remains since i remember last time I was troubleshooting this I remember I didnīt have any light in this port.

Thanks in advance!

Optional CD Changer lives in the back of the glovebox and that loose fiber is what you are seeing.

Yeah, what he said; My car has the CD changer in the glove box. Just curious if you made sure to run the optic cables correctly. There is a post about adding cables to the MOST network. I think you need to read that.
