Merv the Derv

A friend took me on a trip today in his 3.0d X5. Great car I might add even with 184hp, very refined on the motorway. He paid ?3,300 for his sat nav and compared to the e60 pro nav it aint a patch on it. You only get a map view which is controlled by two knobs on the unit itself, which is very much eyes off the road. The map doesn't move but only shows the vehicular movement then when at the end moves to the next map page - well weird. Also the arrival time changes erratically compared to the vehicles speed whereas on the e60 I believe it is based on road type/speed limit and much more accurate. All in all the e60 version is way ahead especially the perspective view.
