e60 n52 burning lean
Hey Guys
I have a 2006 525i N52 engine
I've had this CEL since last winter saying both bank 1 & 2 are burning lean
when it first started the CEL would come on when its cold (below 0c) then it would go off when the temperature goes above 10c but now its on permanently.
I did some research apparently there is a Vapor Canister Purge Valve or Vapor Canister under the throttle body that needs replacing.
Can someone point me the right part number and what to do here.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Look at the picture below of the intake manifold - bracket labeled #9 holds that valve. #10 is the screw (2 screws) that is holding that bracket to the manifold.
To get to that bracket, you will need to remove the air filter box cover and then the box itself, then remove the intake tube (elbow) everything up to throttlebody. If you look almost under the manifold (next to the engine mount), you will see the bracket with bunch of wires going there. You will see a fuel line going to the valve and there is a pipe that connects from that valve to intake.
If you need, I can post the picture of that area (with intake manifold removed) that I took when I replaced the starter.

Here are some pictures I took when I removed the intake manifold. Red circle in the first picture is showing that part. Follow the hose in the second picture (red arrow) and you will find that part.
