So....I'm pulling out of my office lot yesterday ready to head home, and as I pull up to the stop sign at the cross street I see a vaguely familiar shape go by......after a bit of a brain fart I realize...that's a brand new M5!! Beautiful silver color I hadn't seen before......I'm stuck at the stop waiting to turn against traffic to catch up and get a better look. I saw from the license plate frame that the car was bought from the same dealership I bought my cars from. I'm moving pretty good now trying to catch up......traffic's a bit heavy....finally I'm only a couple of cars back as we head out on some rural twisties....the M turns and I follow.....I think, "what the hell" I need to get out and have an "ultimate drive" as it's been one of those days......we're on a two lane windy road through vineyard country......going anywhere from 50 mph to 70...I'm hanging back trying to be respectful of my superiors!! About 15 miles after leaving my office the M turns into a private drive......and pulls up to a mailbox. A woman gets out...about 35 maybe....with kids in the car.....two at least that I can see.....and I'm thinking......this is NOT what I expected!! Don't get me wrong......I love a woman that loves the same cars I do...but an M5 to taxi kids around?? A soccer mom?? and don't get me wrong again....I'm married to a soccer mom.......but I guess it just didn't fit the stereotype I had playing in my mind!! Not to mention the fact that with the kids there I couldn't pull over and ask if she wanted to trade cars for a few miles
So.....I kept on driving down this back, rural, twisty road.......and found myself exploring my car's potential....and I have to say....rolling hills, winding curves......this car just eats them up!! I got home and my face hurt from the constant grin!!
Just wanted to share my trip home last night......I took the long way home....and it's ok.....I'm working through the break in period.....I need the miles!!

no offence, but why not she can drive it? If she paid for it or get it as a present?
you know Sabine on the Ring taxi I guess one day she will also take kids to the school and football, so then she will be also ... she beat the record of N?rburgring while she was 14 yrs!

Well, I was on Melrose Ave two weeks ago, and this is what I saw pull up to Platinum Motorsports. Out the door came a long legged beauty of a woman. SOLO, without anyone else inside. I used this picture from realtyman's thread over in the lounge, her car looked just like the one in the front. Don't know what I was drooling over more... The woman or the car, both were beautiful. No worries from the g/f, she was trying on clothes while I sat outside people watching

Beauty and The beast, there is someting sexy. Think two girls, long legs, long hair on superbike...
Only bad thing what I have found so far with e60, is that cause my Mrs. is so small she need extra pillow on the seat when she drives.
Some people complain that clutch is heavy in BMW's. Not true according Mrs! She use to drive army jeep in China!
Skaffa
