Welcome giftshere4u.

In the UK we have a side lights position i.e. just the angel eye rings and the headlight LED tops - position 2.

Please update your profile and signature with your location and vehicle.

Many questions have region/country specific answers.

Assuming your E60 is like any I've ever seen, the answer is really simple:

The angel eye rings come on by themselves (with the eyebrow, of course) when you have the headlight switch in the parking lights position. That's all you have to do.

Are u sayin that while the car is in drive, as long as u just have the lights in park mode, only the rings will be seen?

If so, thanx. I'll try that today on the way home from work.

I'm located in Toronto, Canada. 2005 525i

It doesn't matter if the car is in drive or not, but yes.

I'm assuming you have daytime running lamps enabled, and that's why you're asking. If you explicitly turn the headlight switch to the "parking light" position, yes, only the angel eye rings and the eyebrows should be on, and the daytime running lamps (if you have them enabled) should not be on when the car is in drive, either.

DRL is mandatory in Canada so I think when you turn to parking lights position angel eyes will lit up along with eyebrow and the high beam (but very weak lights for the highbeam).

Yes, that's the stupid thing in Canada! As soon as you start the car, the flash high beam turns on also! I don't know why can't they make some other lights turn on for DRL instead of 'ruining' the rings.

yea, the dumb DRL comes on as well. There has to be a way to jus have the rings on cuz i see guys drive round like that in the city. More often when i went to NY but i've seen a few here.
