Default E60 LCI or not

Hi Folks As I am aware the 5 series E60 LCI has been introduced early 2007. Facelift has changed lights, kidneys, bumper, gearshift knob, door panels, radio-quick buttons, aircon buttons, etc.... Look at this ad.

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201510298253621

The car has a 2008 plate, but all non facelift items. Was it de-LCI'd ? :-) I also checked this with BMW and they confirmed that no non-lci was sold after 2008 in the UK market so the number plate is strange, unless this is an older import, or had many parts changed.

Any help appreciated.
I did all research for LCI and this is against all.

Cheers,
Thomas

That is pretty shoddy. Also LCI dumped 525i designation in favour of 528i with the new N52 at that point (at least here in North America). Maybe ask the seller for a VIN or paper work to run those numbers? Could be an honest mistake.

Thanks for confirming. The car has been registered in 2008 so regardless of the reason, it is a no-go to buy :-) Still very strange though.
I am looking at an 530i now with the N53 engine. Hope no coil packs will have to be replaced or injectors...
Any advice there?

Thanks
