"Downgrade" from the Logic7?
Has anyone "downgraded" from the Logic7 system to something that isn't fiber optic? I haven't yet checked any wiring diagrams, but would the iDrive system operate on something separate from the L7/radio or is the iDrive also on fiber optics?

I really don't think you can do it because the fiber optics is on a loop if one is down the entire system is down. You can use bypasses to to see how it would play out. I don't have the CD player nor the Satellite and I use bypass to keep everything working. I believe the loop has the iDrive, satellite, CD, amp and Bluetooth(not 100% about bluetooth). If you can keep the loop flowing but get something else for you sound out put I guess it theoretically could work.
