It took about 5 hours to do everything, I took my time with removing the vents from the original dash panels and was in no rush. The door's were time consuming, since the rears had the privacy shades and those have to be removed to get to the hardware that hold the door trim in place.
It is called Carrara trim. I found a set in new condition for pennies on a dollar, so basically a sub $500 project.
I know other trim (Aluminum or Piano Black or CF Wrapped) may look great, but I wasn't prepared to spend more than $500.

I was thinking about doing the exact same thing with my car. I'd have to see some more pics of the dash in daylight without any glare to be sure about it. I normally like the darker wood with gray interior, but the individual grain in my car is sub-par. No grain contrast, almost seems faded in color, blends right in with the dash color.
