Ok All,

How many miles do you have on your E60 and what sort of repairs have you had to do so far. I keep reading electrical horror stories but I talked to a friend of mine who had five 5 series and he said they were all the most reliable vehicles ever.

Also, what are some necessary mods I need to do, just bought a CPO 2006 530xi with 30k and I am wondering what I should do....I am a newbie

And here is one more, what prices did you all pay for your cpo vehicle and when did you buy it

Also, anyone selling wheels that will fit this car.

Lot of great info and great people on this forum, looking forward to the replies!

I have an '04 530i, bought used in 2007 for around $36,000-$37,000. It had 33,000 miles on it, currently sitting around 46,000.

So far I think I have only had one major problem and that was the radio transmitter or something. My radio kept cutting out to static. It cost $1000 to fix, but luckily my SA was able to get covered it under the warranty. Of course it helps (I think) that we have purchased two previous BMW's from them.

I had a window problem which was fixed...somehow... The window would go up then go back down about half way up. Had to do with the Anti-Trap function.

Also had a few error messages pop up randomly, and after restarting the car they weren't there. BMW updated iDrive and everything, and the messages went away.

As for mods, I've been reading the forum quite a lot recently, looking for mods, and many people like the Sprint Booster, RPI Air Ram Intake (something like that), muffler's/exhausts, new rims, and window tinting. Also there is a lot of upgrading of xenon and fog lights, as well as installing the LCI tail and headlights.

2005 545 with 44k miles.

So far, only problem I had was passenger airbag being turned off. This was done under warranty.
Other than that, not really "problems" but I brought my vehicle in to get squeeky brakes replaced, windows were creaking, mp3 retrofitted.

Also, I was on vacation(overseas) for a month(29days to be exact) and left my car in a garage without battery tender and it started strong without low battery problem. I never replaced battery, still what it came with the car.
So far so good.
