The heat outside the car isn't bad, but once you get inside a car that has been parked for hours in the Sun that's when you will feel it.
Desert, what color is your car (exterior and interior)?

Just curious...

Just curious, but doesn anyone have a picture of the coldest temp?

I'm pretty sure that I saw (during the tour in SC), that they do environmental testing at temps much greater and much lower on these cars.

What's the coldest anyone has ever been in. Must be Dr. D or someone in Canada...

James
Ill get minus 45 here in Montreal but you ll have to wait 6 moths

Rudy: My car is black exterior beige interior. I was going for the silver gray, but they only had black interior for the options i wanted. Therefore i decided to go with black.

JDN: I like your suggestion, though i still believe the car will heat eventually due to condutivity. Do you still think I should get it, I have the lamintated windows options from BMW. (Options Attached). There is a company here in Saudi Arabia called V-cool. They are offering different levels of protection for cars, but they are expensive. I might consider it, some of my friends got it already.

Gee, Desert530, you are already a lot better off than I was on square one. I have no experience with the climate comfort glass or the sun shades, except for the windshield heavily padded sunshade sold through the parts departments. I use that one when sitting out very long. Also, your 823 hot climate package must have some special benefits. In addition, I have a black interior.

With all of that said, the Huper Optik would probably be a benefit. It cost me about twice as much as metallic film, but there is a definite difference in heat reduction. This car is titanium silver with black and my previous was white with black. The silver with the HO is noticeably cooler.

If you have any further curiosity, there is a video on this site that does a heat transmission study as you watch.

Good luck.

It's about 35 Degrees Celsius over here (with humidity easily exceeding 100%) and my commute to and from work takes me at least an hour in extreme stop and go traffic (sometimes, I never get past 20km/h). My car, so far, has had no issues at all. Just to make sure, however, I changed the OEM coolant to one that is made by Motul. Hope that helps.
