Can anyone help please?

I'm trying to get the towing eye cover off the front bumber/fender. The manual says 'press arrow on cover'. This I've tried but it only bends. Don't want to force it too much - God knows what a new one would cost!

What am I missing?

I'm driving a tow truck and have to deal with those covers every day. It is correct. You have to push it in where the arrow is and then you can take it out. It is so tight you need to use a tool for it. I allways use a screwdriver, but you have to be very careful to not make any scratches.

Thanks ICEMAN. Manual should have said "push arrow in, then down to release cover". The top part then folds out leaving cover attached by a plastic tie. This is easily removed to avoid it becoming lost, (and easily refitted).

So, all you out there that wanted to know ..............

Thanks RW, this is a great tip. Couldn't work it out either, but this tip saved me from using any tools.
