E60 cup holder advice

hi guys,

Need your advice on the dumbass cup holders on my 04 530i. The button fell out on the driver side cup holder. I don't think the button is for sale itself so I need to purchase the whole piece instead.

My question is since I don't have the button to open the cupholder, how do I get access to the screws behind the sticker in the back to replace the piece.

Could anyone please advise??

Thanks in advance.

Pry the front cover (The front of the holder is just a cover snapped in) off. Dont ask how I know! I had a clumsy passenger once:badbad::badbad::badbad:. I think you will be able to access it then.

If you twist a flat blade screwdriver in the aperture it should open.

The button is missing out of my passenger side one. A new cup holder is pretty expensive for what it is!

Absolutely! The face plate was missing on mine when I bought it, and they can't be replaced individually. Get the odd bargain on eBay, particularly if your holders are black. Mine are grey and it was a nightmare!
