The one from BimmerGeeks has worked great for me. Has a switch so I can use for both my E61 and E46.

I smoked the vacuum lines, no leaks anywhere. Finally broke down and took it to the local BMW expert. He looked it over, re checked for vacuum leaks. Found none. Said here is a differential between the intake and turbo vacuum volume. Suspects the blow-by-vent hose flapper isn't sealing correctly. I had replaced it when doing the valve cleaning. ECS is sending a replacement. I doubt it will make a difference. Still getting the lean codes on both banks. Any thoughts on were to look next. Dropped $600 in diagnostics at the 2 local expert shops with nothing conclusive.......
Could it be a vanos problem with tis many miles?
Feedback is much appreciated :O)

Replaced both vanos solenoids with Vaico units. One of the new solenoids appears to be defective, putting the engine into low power mode and throwing code p0012 when I replaced the new intake solenoid with the old one, then it ran better and just setting the P0174 and P0171 codes yet. Next through is a cam position sensor. Any way to confirm that may be faulty before buying a new one ? Thanks
