My Ride: 2005 530d
Hi Guys, Ive noticed recently that my 05 Manual 530d has developed a clutch judder/shudder when pulling off in 1st gear.
Is this a sure sign the clutch or flywheel or both are on their way out?
The clutch doesnt seem to be slipping at all and the biteing point is the same as before
Is there anyway of checking without dismantleing half the car!
Anyone recommend a good aftermarket clutch kit in the UK if this probably is the case? approx costs involved
The car is obviously out of warranty but has an aftermarket warranty, but i guess this is worthless when clutch issues are involved. wear and tear and all that.
Thanks

Hi.
I don't have the symptom but my friend and a forum member "seip??nreik?" told me about the same thing in his 530xd 2008. He said it shudders when the clutch pedal is being pushed and stops when the clutch is completely connected (the pedal released). He told me also that it does it only when the engine + gearbox are still cold. Well, cold and cold at the summertime, but anyway...

I have the same problem on my 04 525D. I recall somewhere that it might have something to do with a valve that BMW has put in the clutch hydraulics. Not sure though.
