My Ride: 2008 528i: Silver/Black/Light Wood, ZPP, ZCW, STEP, Comfort Seat, Heated Rear Seat, PDC, Xenon, Nav, iPod. 35% ceramic tint, VentureShield clear bra.
I assume that one should brake and let the engine brake to help. I actually put into DS so that it stays in lower gear when going down a hill. Cooking brakes hurts not just the brake pads.

Mine usually changes down twice though.
It's not really the fact that it changes down, more the way it does it. It's not at all smooth. Very jerky in fact.
Anyone elses the same?
