E60 Battery Draining problem please help
#1
Guys,
MODS sorry but my neighbours are having sleepless nights due to the Alarm sounding when my battery drains..Apols for posting in here but i'm an English man so forgive me Please !
I have problem that is really bugging me..
My 2004 E60 520i is draining its battery every night.. It appears to be going into sleep mode (Auto "D" light is going out after 16mins) but there is a whirring noise coming from under the bonnet..Like a small pump or fan..It needs to be quiet to hear it but something is definitely still running...
What can it be? Battery was replaced 12 mths ago and has been tested Fine and car is ok after Jump start and continues to restart even after a short drive !
any suggestions gratefully recieved

i guess my first post wasnt very detailed..
i have since discovered by unplugging things that the buzzing/whiring is coming from what appears to be the idle speed controller..it goes when i plug this..
Is there any reason this should run after the engine is switched off?..ie for hours and hours???
any replies gratefully recieved...

Do you have anything plugged in any of the sockets? Can't think of any other reason

Nope nothing plugged in....Even turn off Blue tooth to try and keep everything how it should be..
Its xmas now so i'm reluctant to just leave it at the dealers.....and after reading the posts here i dont trust the main dealers too much
