If you ever wanted to know how your e60 would do in the deep snow, don't worry, its GREAT!

Got up this morning to a "spring" snow storm, happy I still have my Dunlop SP Winter Sport winter tyres still on the car.

The only issue is with the sport package, the car rides a little low and it becomes snow plow

Yes, no problems what so ever here either, but I love the 16" Conties.
They are good on blank ice as well.

But 16" are not available for V8 E60's...

Still toolling around on my Semperit SportGrips (speed rated 17" snows). Encountered a squall in Vermont today that was a momentary whiteout. But the car performs just fine; just don't get the undercarriage hung up.

Cheers from upstate NY,

Ray Hull

was just at Mammoth Mountain, Mammoth lakes, CA, about 8,000 ft, snow/ice covered streets, up and down grades, winding roads, 20 degrees F, 4 passengers, NO Snow tires, just the run-flats, she handled like a dream , the DSC wouldn't let the car slide out of control, just a very controlled slight fish tail at times. I drove only at about 20-25 miles per hour though

I was at Mammoth mountain during the past weekend. I didn't take my e60. My friend drove his all wheel drive Isuzu, when we went out for dinner, his SUV rear ended a H3 due to the icy road. The damage wasn't that bad, other than that, it was a great trip.

come on now...well, maybe I framed this a bit on the dramatic side but, the car truly handles like a dream and will not let you out of control. This is again driving VERY cautious/slowly.

Man, I hope your friends car is OK, nice up there last weekend. I had the e39 525 Sport previous to this one and drove that to Mammoth for 3 seasons and the DSC was remarkable in snowy/icy conditions.
