Currently in our family we own a 2005 E46 330i and a 2005 E60 530i Sport. My mother told me the other day that (her 3 month old 530i with active steering) the car is pulling to the right and the steering is of center to the left. I made an appointment for her and she toke the car in. Our sales person who is so wonderfull gave us a loaner X3 and told my mom not to worry about it he would have it taken care of. She got her car back it it drove perfect with no pulling and steering wheel perfectly centered going down the road. I called the dealership just for the fun of it to see how much it would cost to have an alignment done to an E60 with active steering and the sport package. the service adviser quoted me $300 dollars. I was shocked it how much it cost to align a car with active steering. Can E60's with AS be taken to other tire shops for wheel alignments or only BMW cervice centers? and how much does everyone else pay for the alignments???

Yeah -- its expensive with active steering. I believe $250 at my dealer. I wouldn't go anywhere except to the dealer for that personally.

i guess if that's defective/problem from the car, it's covered. if not, i think you have to pay.

My SA told me up to 1200 miles and alignment was under warranty, no questions asked. After that it might me a fight as they could claim u knocked out of alignment by.... (u name it).
