E60 Acoustic Confirmation Chirp Source?

My wife likes the acoustic lock confirmation ON and I like it OFF. (Apparently the setting is not customized on our separate keys.) So the plan is to leave confirmation ON, but reduce the volume a little. I don't want to make any electrical changes so am thinking of just finding the chirper and muffling it slightly. But even with the trunk open and its right rear interior panel removed, I'm not sure what's actually chirping. Can anyone help me identify the chirp hardware and its physical location on my '07 530i saloon?

My Ride: 2006 BMW 550i
from what i remember, the siren is located behind the passenger side rear wheel...behind the bumper plastic. you may have to remove the bumper to get access.
