Default E60 530d loud vibration

Hi all, I drove from London to Emsworth last night without an issue. However, when I started the car this morning, I have a loud vibration (when idle). Some points below to make it easier to understand.
  1. The vibration stops when I accelerate
  2. When I stop accelerating the vibration returns
  3. Vibration stops when car is placed in 'D' - can then naturally rolls forward
  4. Vibrations when in neutral
  5. Vibrations are worst in Reverse (very loud)
  6. No power issues
  7. Starts on the button
No knocking on the block (thankfully)

Any ideas? A friend and BMW enthusiast said it could be my exhaust manifold? Any help would be really appreciated.

Sounds a lot like bad motor mounts (possibly allowing direct contact with some part of the engine / accessories to the body).

Just solved that issue with my car a couple months ago. I changed out the engine and transmission mounts and no more vibration. If I were you I'd change both the engine mounts first. I installed Anchor mounts. Hutchison and Corteco is OEM
