hi... hope some one can help.. my 2003 530d auto with 93,000 miles on it has a hunting problem, its at speeds of 40/50 mph i can feel the car surging and at the same time the rev counter is going between 2000/2500 rpm.. it asls does it when im coming of a motor way & slowing down, if i take my foot of the gas pedel the revs drop to 1000 rpm and then start fluctuating to 1500 to 1000 rpm also if im giving the car some hamer in 3rd 4th and 5th when the revs get to 3000 and 3500 & 4000 in each gear the car surges forwards at all 3 points like i have somthink blocked or have another turbo on board.. to give you some history on my car, my local BMW dealer rebuilt the engine 3 months ago after them dreaded swirl valves fell into the engine, i had 1 new piston new 1 injector new cylinder head inc exhaust and inlet manifold inc new turbo charger... thay did it all for ?1500 as a good will gesture coz i had full dealer service history think the total bill was 8k to them...
