i have a 2005 525i and its been in the shop now for about 2 months. Last time the car worked fine was on december 24th. I got my roof lining done and i was finishing putting it all back together when the battery went dead. So, i charge the battery and try to start the car and the car started but the starter kept running until i took my foot of the brake and the car had no electrical power on the inside. The headlights turned on, but i have no power to my seats, windows, ac, or idrive. The radio does turn on. The guy at the shop said it was the CAS so they ordered it. The CAS came in and they say the car still wont ''wake up'' so they can program the new CAS or whatever... now a coupe days ago they came up with a new idea of something that might be wrong and that was the KGM. So they put a new KGM in and the car still dead. The car will start and run... shift and works fine but i got no electrical power for the things i mentioned. anybody has had this happened to their car? or have a clue what it could be? any help will be greatly appreciated.

 

You need to get the codes that the car has stored using a BMW specific code scanner/program. That's the place to begin.

 

I hope they checked all the fuses and relays.

They checked all the fuses and relays. They said they couldnt get any codes because the car doesnt wake up. And they need the system to start to do so. Im running out of options. U saw a car on youtube with the same problem and that car had a bad airbag module somewhere that was causing it to not wake up.i told the guys at the shop and apparently they also check the modules with no luck ��
