I know this is a newbie question, but I have tried to research it to little avail.

Did the 525 Engine change at all over the past couple of years in terms of horsepower? I have noticed that the 525 underwent a recent transformation from a 2500 CC engine to a 3000 CC engine. Before that did the regular 2500 engine ever have any changes? I mean was there a horsepower increase between MY2004 and MY2005, if so, which production month did the changeover occur. I have seen so many different figures for the horsepower output and 0-100kmh figures, I can't seem to work out which one my car is. I have a MY2005 525 Touring with a 10/2004 production date.

The reason I ask is because I am in the break-in period now and my car doesn't even have 100km yet, so I am unable to really push the acellerator hard at the moment, and in the test car, I drove, I only pushed it a little and didn't really abuse it so I don't really know how fast or slow this engine is.
