E60 520d 2007 M47 starts but dies seconds later
Hi there. I'm having a few issues with my 255k mile E60 520d with the M47 lump.
Yesterday it was running fine (as fine as it can), normal use, I do have the fault code 004687 for throttle, I got a new Pierburg throttle body but haven't fitted it yet.
Anyway. I went to start it up this morning to take a mate to pick his S5 up, and it started well, but immediately cut off a few seconds later. No warning lights or anything. No response from the throttle either while it was running. Very confused.
I did have errors for glow plugs in cylinders 1 and 4 last night which I cleared. I'll scan the car now and list any error codes I have that are new.
Here they are:
I'll try replacing all of the glow plugs, but the "control" aspect has confused me.
Any help/insight would be appreciated. I've used the ole search function but I can't seem to find anything specific to my issue.
Thanks
Charlie

Here they are:
- 004030 - Exhaust gas temp. sensor upstream of the catalyst, signal.
- 004212 - Glow plug cylinder 1, control
- 004242 - Glow plug cylinder 4, control
- 004687 - Throttle
