I have a few issues with my e60 520d 161bhp

it is a 2006 model and I haven't had the car very long bought from an auction so not know of faults it was cheap so i dont mind but i need help with it.

I have recent had the turbo replaced at Camco in Warrington with a nice bill to go with it, I know the guys in there and they said they thought it was a little slow from take off so i thgouht I would keep hold of it first and see what it is like.

Its deffinately slow at revs less than 2000, once I hit this the turbo boost kicks in and there is plenty of power there. Its like this in every gear and im not sure if its any better when its warm. I have scanned it using a launch master and got the following code 4a66 (Power Management). I can only assume this is the same issue.

I've seen people on here mention turbo on the 530 but as I said i've had that done and everyone thats looked at the car has confirmed when the car asks for a boost pressure the car delivers it.

1 other thing, the volume button, eject and skip button on the centre console don't seem to work and a cd is stuck in?

I have a car round the same age and find in the cold it can be left a little wanting in the cold however i just find 1st a bit useless as i need to change into 2nd by the time i hit 20 but once it gets going and if you can keep the car in the turbo range it will fly i've flew past many a unsuspecting Sunday driver, however i am looking at trying to get the engine out of the 123d which should add for some entertainment if i can as it produces more power and torque and is more fuel economic than the 525d of similar age, failing that I've also seen numerous places that sell tuning boxes for that car which will put the power up to 200 BHP and torque figures of 400+ NM which i can tell you now is bloody mental amount of torque evo's don't even have that kind of torque and this should also put the 520D in the performance realm of the 530d with better economy. as for the CD thing id say that either the headunit has failed if the whole lot isn't working do the buttons on the steering wheel work if so the buttons on the head unit are faulty if not try and check fuses for the entertainment system a fuse map should be in your boot lid where your tools are.
