e60 2009 windscreen odd times misting wet on the inside

have followed a few theads about blocked drain holes.

upto now i have removed the cowling under the pollen filters and cleaned all the leaves out and a bit of grunge.

water trickles out onto the floor on both sides.

checked in the brake servo area wet but no puddles i guess that means its all fine no blockage, also the other side was nice and dry.

any ideas as to why this is happening, no water inside the car.

only other thing to mention is i dont think the drainage plastic rubber thing with the holes in was not correctly connected under the pollen filter.

is it normal for water to get into the pollen filter area?

TIA
Mark

I've mostly see water come in the cabin from the sunroof drains. Either clogged or disconnected. It's too easy to keep the cabin foyer area clean with a regular filter change

No wonder you're getting water in the car - if the sunroof isn't there, rain comes in through the big hole in the roof! ;-)

I'm glad this came up though. I'd actually done a video showing the location of both A/C drain lines, and how to clear them... but forgot to upload it!

I use a piece of fuel line (3/8" IIRC) and air compressor to clear the lines. The access is borderline terrible, but it is possible, and if you do have an obstruction, this should clear it out. On my car, I never got a definitive gush of water out, but I suspect it was because the blockage was just enough to allow enough water to collect that the vents would spit at me, but that it would then eventually drain out (it only happened on VERY long drives). This process did seem to fix the problem though...

It's uploading now (should be done before anyone reads this)...
